I have two minutes. Why am I here? Procrastinating! Say it with me now! Pro-cras-ti-nating.
Yesterday was the first day I didn't have to take a nap. I had one wave of weakness and fatigue and that was it.
Here are things I think about.
What do people in Asia do about soy sauce and high blood pressure?
What do Italians with GERD do about all the tomatoes?
I wonder how culture influences medical treatment/advice in those cases.
Diagnostic Tests to Reassure Patients

Interesting questions. I have two friends with chronic medical problems who both happened to find themselves ill with GI complaints in Italy. One got sick - incidentally after drinking a cold beverage that she had used ice in. Her Italian host family had been horrified that she insisted on drinking ice cold beverages, and after she got sick, were sure that it was the effects of her strange and foolish choice. A doctor was summoned who actually came to the home to see her. The other ended up in the hospital. I recall that she felt overall it was a nice place, and she described that in the evening the staff came around and handed out chamomile tea.
